The Paper and Packaging Board recently launched new campaign creative featuring highly-relatable, animated paper and packaging characters to represent the vital roles that paper and packaging play in everyday life. Mary Anne will talk about the campaign's shift in storytelling approach, aspirations for the new campaign, and the latest campaign metrics.
As President of the Paper and Packaging Board, Mary Anne leads the national consumer campaign, Paper and Packaging – How Life Unfolds®. Prior to her current position, she worked in a wide range of industries including plastics, chemicals, and flowers. She also spent seven years working to correct misinformation about mercury in seafood, particularly tuna. During this period, she led the development of a national consumption campaign in 2011 for canned tuna called “Tuna the Wonderfish.”
Paul Malooly, President and CEO, El Paso Paper Box
El Paso Paper Box: From Denim to Donuts
After selling a successful air conditioning manufacturing business, Paul helped a friend finance a commercial printing operation. The firm mainly produced "pocket flasher" cards that were stapled to the Levi, Wrangler, Jordache, and Lee denim jeans manufactured in the El Paso area at the time. As market needs changed, Paul steered the firm toward folding cartons. The company eventually grew into the largest carton manufacturer in the Southwestern United States, today serving a significant number of customers in the bakery segment. During this PPC member spotlight, Paul will share his journey "from denim to donuts" and all points in between.
A lifelong resident of El Paso, TX, Paul formed his first company, a commercial and industrial real estate business, in the 1980s. In 1989, Paul purchased a struggling manufacturing business, ultimately turning it around and selling it to Walmart in 1994. Finally, in 1995, Paul backed a small commercial print business that would grow to become El Paso Paper Box. Under Paul’s ownership, the firm is currently a major source for folding cartons in the Southwest.

Health care is in a state of tumult. The government and insurers continue to seek savings while battles in Washington cast clouds of uncertainty around the future of health reform. Meanwhile, new technologies and "big data" could completely disrupt traditional medicine. Bruce will discuss the implications of this chaos for hospitals, employers, and communities. He'll also offer some cautionary tales about what to expect from new "breakthrough" innovations.
Since 2010, Bruce has used his extensive background in health care management and public health to lead America’s Essential Hospitals, a nonprofit association for hospitals and health systems dedicated to high-quality care for all. Previously, he served as a health policy professor at The George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services as well as the President of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation. He has also served as New Jersey’s Commissioner of Health.

Don't worry about making it professional—the best videos are made in just a few hours with an inexpensive handheld camera. The only requirement is to have fun and be creative! The film will be shown during the General Session, so this is a great way to showcase your offerings to potential customers--best of all, it is FREE!

If files are larger than 10 Mg, please use Dropbox.com or YouSendIt.com for sending the files. Films will be combined with other member videos on a first-come, first-served basis.
