Leaders at Every Level: Know Your Own Working Style and be Willing to Adapt to Work More Effectively with Others

  • Designed to help enhance attendees’ self-awareness and leverage their unique strengths, attendees will dive into the Predictive Index (PI) Behavior Assessment to provide a deeper knowledge to how working styles impact diverse teams. Attendees will receive insight on their own PI profile, how their natural behavior influences their interactions and decision-making processes and gain a deeper understanding of both the strength and caution areas associated with their style. This session will provide practical techniques to improve teamwork and collaboration with colleagues of varying styles.

Self-Aware Leader Exercise

  • Building on the insights from the Leaders at Every Level session, this interactive exercise will challenge attendees to deepen their self-awareness using their PI profile.  Attendees will identify their own strengths and caution areas and create action items for change.  Attendees will have the opportunity to pair up to share their results.

Elements of Effective Communication

  • Armed with their knowledge of how their PI profile impacts their natural tendencies, attendees will dive into the essential elements that foster direct, productive, and meaningful communication.

PPC Industry Panel Discussion

  • Comprised of a panel of industry leaders, this panel will dive into critical issues facing the industry at large and the leadership lessons that the panel has learned along the way. Dive into the highs and lows of the panel’s industry journeys with topics focused on sustainability, innovation, and key leadership skills that have shaped their path towards success (and some of the failures in between).

Preparing for and Executing Difficult Conversation

  • Using the DESC (Describe, Express, Specify, and Consequences) framework, this workshop will review top strategies to address difficult conversations head on with confidence and poise. Industry-specific scenarios that illustrate common challenges will provide attendees with real-life application for the DESC model in their own work setting. Attendees will complete a worksheet and role-play to practice what they’ve learned.

Mastering Time Management

  • Gantt charts, Teams, and apps galore—in this era of the workforce, there are countless tools used to stay organized and on top of to do lists. This session will discuss the new wave of effective time management, from tactical tips to creating a proactive (vs. reactive) mindset to making your goals SMART.  We’ll discuss how to improve your time management in an era of hybrid work, so you can be more productive and collaborate more efficiently in our fast-paced industry.

Public Speaking: Establishing Credibility, the Power of Persuasion, Preparation Tips for Presenting

  • A crucial skill for leaders at all levels—and often a source of nerves and anxiety at every level—mastering the art of public speaking is more than preparing a script or presentation. Learn directly from the industry experts for tips on establishing credibility, harnessing the power of persuasion, and key steps to prepare for impactful presentations (and tips for overcoming the nerves that come with it).

Predictive Index: Talent is Everything

As part of the Summit, participants will take the Predictive Index Behavioral Assessment (PI). Measuring four behavioral drives, PI provides a simple framework for understanding individuals’ workplace behavioral styles. Employee behavior reflects the unique ways you and your co-workers contribute to the team and organization. By understanding how these behaviors manifest day to day, you can take steps to accommodate your people’s needs and improve your team as a whole.

Teri Kinsella, Talent Optimization Advisor, PI Midlantic

With a career spanning 25+ years, Teri brings broad experience to her clients, ranging from leadership of Fortune 500 global initiatives to entrepreneurship.

As a consultant for Predictive Index Midlantic since 2009, Teri works with a variety of clients to help them align their talent strategy with their business strategy. Utilizing the Predictive Index Talent Optimization Platform, Teri consults with clients to help them attract, retain and develop their #1 asset…their talent.

Teri’s select list of current clients includes: Aprio, Dymax, HRCI, Liberty Maritime, Mass. Bankers Association, Paperworks, PeopleShare, Provident Bank, Tectonic Therapeutic and Steel Partners.

Industry Keynote Speaker


Bakul Wadgaonkar, Director of Sustainability, Sappi

Bakul Wadgaonkar is Director of Sustainability for Sappi North America, a market leader in converting wood fiber into superior products that customers demand worldwide. Bakul leads Sappi’s efforts in sustainability in emissions reduction, forestry, water stewardship, stakeholder engagement, supply chain and product footprint. She also directs the company’s annual Sustainability Report. 

While she is now focused on biodiversity, circularity and sustainability in Sappi’s operations to make wood fiber the renewable, recyclable and remarkable material of the future, Bakul got her start in polymers. She holds a master’s degree in mechanical/materials science and engineering from the University of Mississippi and a bachelor’s degree in polymer science engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University in Maharashtra, India.  

 With many years of experience in environmental health and safety, sustainability, manufacturing and quality management, Bakul first worked for DSM, a company that made powder coating and polyurethane coating, both types of polymeric coatings. At DSM, Bakul got involved in sustainability initiatives at the company, which is ranked No. 1 in the chemical sector on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.  

 Bakul then worked at Bose as Environmental Compliance Engineer III, where she was part of the team that banned phthalates, halogenated flame retardants and PVC from Bose products, before moving on to Apple, where she served in the Environment and Supply Chain Innovation Group. There, she worked with global suppliers to assist with their sustainability-related initiatives, driving a more sustainable supply chain.

Shuttle Service

PPC will provide necessary transportation beginning on Thursday, July 18. Following the close of the program on July 19, PPC will provide a shuttle to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD).

Airports + Travel

Recommended: Travel in/out of Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) is recommended. Following the end of program on Friday, July 19, PPC will provide transportation to ORD. It is recommended to book your returning flight no earlier than 3 pm.

  • Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) is 28 miles from the hotel (approximately 30 minutes).
  • Chicago Midway Airport (MDW) is 35 miles from the hotel (approximately 45 minutes).
