Rigid Box Manufacturers

Creating a perfect rigid box is an artform. Join others who appreciate the craft.

CONVENING RIGID BOXMAKERS

PPC offers a unique forum for rigid boxmakers to gather and discuss their unique challenges and opportunities. The Rigid Box Committee meets twice per year in conjunction with PPC’s meetings. The goal? Learn from one another, create industry standard, brainstorm ideas to promote rigid boxes, and much more.

SPECIALIZED TRAINING

PPC holds yearly Rigid Operator Training Courses—multiday workshops that help member employees operate and maintain Emmeci rigid box-making equipment. The sessions also include instruction on gluing taught by a LD Davis and board taught by Newman paperboard. Previous training programs have included:

Beginner Operator’s Training
The course taught beginners how to use a squaring tool, make wooden frames, and adjust basic components of the machines.

Intermediate Troubleshooting
Experienced students were trained on live machines and taught how to run difficult materials and troubleshoot common causes of stoppages and waste.

Advanced Troubleshooting & Maintenance
Addressing troubleshooting at the highest level, students broke down and rebuilt machines, diagnosed problems based on samples, and engaged expert trainers.

Check the Events page for upcoming training sessions.

EXCLUSIVE DATA REPORTING

PPC rigid box members are invited to participate in the annual Rigid Box Machine Rate/Cost Report. The only rigid-box-exclusive business data available today, the report helps a manufacturer determine how their organization compares to average industry performance in terms of machine hour  operating metrics, stock board inventories, waste generation, and make-ready times. It’s a crucial tool in making data-driven business decision.

See PPC’s Industry Data Program for more info.
