For the last six years, Mary Anne has been the President of the Paper and Packaging Board (P+PB) leading the Paper and Packaging – How Life Unfolds® national consumer and B2B campaign.  The campaign is designed to slow the decline in paper use and reinforce and grow preference for paper-based packaging.  Mary Anne oversees all aspects of the campaign including research, strategy, messaging and campaign metrics.

Prior to joining the Paper and Packaging Board six years ago, Mary Anne worked in a wide range of industries promoting plastics, seafood and flowers.  Today she works with a staff of 10 to bring the Paper and Packaging – How Life Unfolds®campaign to life for the approximately 45 paper manufacturers and importers who fund the program.  P+PB’s program is structured similarly to agricultural promotion efforts like the campaigns for beef, eggs and cotton that are familiar to many Americans.

Mary Anne is a paper and paper packaging enthusiast who loves to read magazines, catalogs and the newspaper.  Further fueling her love of all things paper and packaging, is the world of online shopping and the boxes that bring groceries, occasional take-out dinners, and other life-essentials to this busy working mom’s door.

The Paper & Packaging – How Life Unfolds® national marketing campaign shows how paper and packaging enhance business and personal productivity, creativity and learning and help protect and deliver the food and goods we want.

U.S. manufacturers and importers of these products collectively fund the board’s efforts including the goals of the Paper & Packaging – How Life Unfolds® campaign.
