It’s fun and easy to host a TICCIT program in your community.
Spring is a special season for us in the paperboard packaging industry. Celebrate Earth Day by hosting a TICCIT program in your community. Short for “Trees Into Cartons, Cartons Into Trees,” TICCIT teaches students that trees are a sustainable crop just like fruits and veggies, highlights the many uses for trees and paper, and underscores the importance of recycling.
The program helps teach the next generation about the importance of packaging, trees, recycling, and the circular economy. After a live or virtual presentation in the classroom, you’ll send students home with a tree sapling in a paperboard carton which can be planted directly into the ground. The carton is a real-life look at sustainability, as the tree grows the carton breaks down or biodegrades to complete the “trees into cartons, cartons into trees” life cycle or TICCIT as we like to call it.
