Principal Members are converter members or box makers. The Bylaws state that, “Any firm, partnership, or corporation actively and regularly engaged in the United States or its territories or possessions, Mexico, or Canada, in the fabrication or manufacture of and sale of paperboard packaging shall be qualified to become a Principal member of the Council upon the terms and conditions prescribed. A parent company may be elected to membership in place of its subsidiary corporation which qualifies for membership under this Section. For the purposes of these By-Laws, the term paperboard packaging includes formats designed to distribute, market and protect a product, including laminated fluted grades run on folding carton equipment.”

Associate Members are suppliers to converter members or box makers. The Bylaws state that, “Any firm, partnership or corporation actively and regularly engaged in the manufacture and/or distribution of equipment, materials, or accessories used in the manufacture of paperboard packages, including mechanical packaging, shall be qualified to become an Associate Member of the Council upon the terms and conditions prescribed in these By-Laws. Provided, however, that no company shall be eligible to become an Associate Member if it, or any parent, subsidiary, or affiliated corporation is qualified to become a Principal Member of the Council.”
Associate Member Dues are based on your estimated prior year Annual Gross Global Sales in the folding carton industry.

Rigid Box Associate Member are suppliers to Rigid Box converter members or box makers . The Bylaws state that, “any person, firm, partnership, or corporation actively engaged in the manufacture and/or distribution of equipment, materials, or accessories used in the manufacture of only rigid boxes (not folding cartons). Rigid Box Associate Members may attend Council meetings and other sessions open to Principal Members except those meetings restricted by the Board of Directors, the Chairman, and/or the Executive Committee. No company shall be eligible to become a Rigid Box Associate Member if it or any parent, subsidiary, or affiliated corporation is qualified to become a Principal Member.”
Dues are based on a company’s worldwide gross annual sales of materials and equipment to rigid box converters.
Rigid Box Only Associate Member= $3,500 Annual Investment
International Members are converters or box makers that do not have folding carton facilities in North America. The Bylaws state that, “International Members are Any firm, partnership or corporation actively and regularly engaged in the fabrication or manufacture of and sale of paperboard packages, which does not have folding carton converting facilities in the United States or its territories or possessions, Mexico, or Canada shall be qualified to become an International Member of the Council. The Board of Directors shall prescribe the terms, conditions and payment of dues for International Membership. International Members must be converters whose folding carton sales revenue it greater than or equal to 75% of total sales revenue.”
International Principal Member Dues are based on prior year gross annual sales. Sales revenue is defined as follows: folding carton, rigid box, and litho lam revenue, plus revenue from other structures or cartons where paperboard makes up 25%+ of the package.
Gross sales should be calculated as 100% of North America estimated sales revenue plus 25% of sales revenue from outside of North America for the prior year.
Gross Sales are multiplied by 0.036%.
Minimum dues investment: $4,500
Maximum dues investment: $18,000.
