Rituals that WORK: How to Gain Control of Your Time
Melissa Gratias, PhD, Productivity Psychologist
Humans are ritualistic beings, and that inclination toward repeated activity is a superpower you can use to improve your productivity. First, schedule your rituals on your calendar. These can take place daily, monthly, or yearly. For example, block the first 15 minutes of every day for an opening ritual in which you examine your calendar and select your “must-do today” tasks. Be sure to include the steps/checklist in the notes section of the calendar entry. While you work to incorporate rituals into your productivity regimen, remember to strive for progress, not perfection.
